Joyous scenes expected as the boy who fell from a six story building in Limerick City will officially turn on the city’s christmas lights




There will be joyous scenes this coming Sunday evening as the boy who fell from a six story building will take centre stage in Limerick City will officially turn on the city’s christmas lights.

The little boy, Neil Shanahan, aged 3, who miraculously survived the terrifying fall from Limerick Strand Hotel last July, will officially switch on the Christmas lights with the city’s Mayor Kieran O’Hanlon.

Little Neil who has made a huge recovery since his ordeal will take centre stage at 6:00pm, where thousands of people are expected to attend the ‘Light up Limerick’ switching-on ceremony organised by Limerick City and County Council.
