There’s been major backlash against Judge Martin Nolan of late over various court outcomes. However, possibly one of the most talked about with calls for Nolan’s resignation, is that of a foreign national getting involved in a row with an Irish child.
A Polish man who violently assaulted an eight-year-old Irish child, leaving him with a broken nose, walked free from court without even having to pay any compensation.
Judge Martin Nolan heard how Kamil Naumczyk (40) punched the defenceless boy after a children’s tiff over the building of a fort between him and his daughters.
After the dispute Naumczyk ran after the group of boys who had argued with his daughter and followed them into a nearby back garden before punching a little boy in the face causing the child to fall backwards, reports the Sunday World.
Instead of a jail term or fine, Naumczyk faces 240 hours of community service.
The child was rushed Tallaght Hospital emergency room but was then referred to a specialist.
The boys had to undergo surgery to put a plate in his nose in order to stabilise it.
