A judge has said that Dublin city centre is becoming extremely dangerous for people to walk around at night. The national broadcaster reports that Judge Melanie Greally was commenting during a case of violent disorder which saw two gentlemen attacked by youths in an unprovoked attack.
According to RTE, the Judge said that “Unfortunately this is becoming a fact of life and Dublin city centre is becoming an increasingly dangerous place in which to circulate”.
It speaks volumes that a Judge would come out and say what many people have known for years – Ireland’s night life has seen danger attached for quite some time with unprovoked attacks from thugs.
Gardai say that people should be vigilant out at night, keep an eye on their friends and try not to be on their own.
