She’s the first person to go to prison for the act during the outbreak of covid-19.
Rachel Conway from Sligo was arrested while she was drinking with a group of people at the footbridge in the town.
It’s understood that she coughed in the face of a garda who was then forced to self-isolate as a result and precaution.
Ms Conway has been sent to prison for 4 weeks over the incident.
