Jurassic Park fans have been devastated to hear that the film’s star Sam Neill is now being treated for stage-three blood cancer.
According to the Metro, Neill had started a new chemotherapy drug as the one he was originally taking started to fail. It is reported that he is now cancer free but he is likely to need treatment every month for the rest of his life.
The star says that he wrote his memoir “Did I Ever Tell You This?” while he was receiving therapy, telling the Guardian that it gave him a “reason to live”. He described writing the book as a lifesaver.
Neill starred in the original Jurassic Park hit film, as well as the most recent film in the series, “Jurassic Park: Dominion”.
