Justice is served: 10 years jail time for former Dublin school caretaker found guilty of indecently assaulting young boys




Bernard Browne, a former school caretaker used the promise of small amount of money to entice young boys into situations where he would sexually molest them, according to Breakingnews.ie

During the 80’s, Brown was a school caretaker working at the CBS school on Richmond Street in Dublin’s northside.

Detective Garda Eoin Treacy told Dublin Circuit Criminal Court that Browne was between 25 and 28 when he began molesting the first victim, an 11-year-old boy.
Three boys in total were assaulted and the attacks took place on a weekly basis.

Browne pleaded guilty to nine sample charges of indecently assaulting the three boys. The nine counts are samples charges from an indictment of 44 charges.

BreakingNews.ie reports that Judge Elma Sheahan said “Each victim impact statement is loaded with the weight of psychological damage and upset, and said the men carried “a very heavy burden” to this day.”
