Justice Minister Helen McEntee has announced her intentions to fast track face recognition technology following the recent riots in the capital.
The minister has referred to the protesters as ‘thugs and criminals’ and has vowed to come down hard on those responsible for the violent scenes on Thursday evening.
Ms. McEntee has also said that Dublin is ‘safe,’ despite months of reported criminal activity across the city.
