Taylor easily defeated Svetlana Staneva in the Women’s Lightweight 57-60kg Box-Off bout, competing for third place.
After some disagreements among the judges, the Irish fighter was crowned victorious by an unanimous 3-0 win (39-37; 40; 35, 40-36).
After the win, Taylor now has a somewhat easier path to the Rio Olympics, where she hopes to defend her 60kg title, won in London.
