Katie Taylor has said that a rematch with Delfine Persoon is inevitable, following her points victory over the Belgian on Saturday.
Speaking to RTÉ’s Today with Sean O’Rourke programme, upon arrival in Dublin, Taylor said she expects a rematch to take place between the pair despite being given the majority on the judges scoring cards on Saturday night.
Taylor told the programme that the fight was a close fight and it was a great fight between two great champions.
Despite question marks surrounding her victory by some within the sport, Taylor told the host that she felt she had won the fight within the early rounds.
She added that it was an epic battle and she is glad that she came out on top.
However she did admit that a rematch should happen in order to put any doubts to bed, before adding she was looking forward to a rematch and believes it would be a fight people would want to see again.
