The Irish Coast Guard helicopter and RNLI lifeboat unit were called to a Dublin kayaking company after they ignored weather warnings from Met Eireann.
According to RTE, rescue workers were called out on September 13th 2020, with a report declaring that organisers did not follow correct protocol such as those of traditional weather warnings, including Met Eireann.
People have been advised to follow weather warnings well in advance of taking to the land, sea or sky especially during potentially dangerous conditions.
