Kenyan woman found not guilty by reason of insanity in brutal Dublin murder of innocent housemate

A 53-year-old woman who suffered from a mental disorder after stabbing a man she lived with was found not guilty of insane homicide by the Central Criminal Court.

The national broadcaster reports that Grace Miano, originally from Kenya, of Tudor Lawns on Foxrock admitted to killing Limbani ‘Robert’ Mzoma of Malawi at her Dublin home on November 1, 2018.

The 27-year-old died after being attacked and maimed with a poker and a knife.

According to RTE, Judge Paul McDermott referred Miano to a designated facility for a psychiatric report.

There was no dispute over the evidence from two psychiatrists that Miano was suffering from schizoaffective disorder at the time she murdered Mr. Mzoma.
