Kinder chocolate factory thought to be the origin of the salmonella outbreak ordered to close

The Kinder chocolate factory thought to be the origin of the salmonella outbreak across Europe has been ordered to close.

The factory, sited in the town of Arlon in Belgium, halted production following the discovery of several cases of salmonella poisoning linked to products manufactured there.

Every single Kinder-branded item produced at the factory is being recalled as a precaution.
