King of the road: Late Late Country Special major success once again

Well it’s one of the biggest shows of the year and arguably for once, people’s TV license fee gets actually used for something entertaining.

Along with the Late Late Toy Show, the Country Music special is top drawer stuff.

Between Michael English, Nathan Carter, TR Dallas and Daniel O’Donnell, the show was packed with musicians banging out all the country classics.

The pinnacle of the show was presenter Ryan Tubridy singing a duet with Daniel of “King of the road”.

The Donegal man then received an award for the Irish country music hall of fame, presented by none other than Fr Brian D’Arcy.
