The shattered remnants of the Labour party will not be part of any new government, nor will they help any other party to form one, it has been confirmed.

What is left of Labour will sit out the next term, parliamentary sources have said.

At the same time, a group of five Independents have now risen up to the chance of selling out for a seat on the gravy train, claiming it’s for the sake of ‘national interest.’

The five long riders are Michael Collins, Mattie McGrath, Denis Naughten, Dr Michael Harty and Noel Grealish.
