The Labour Court has confirmed this evening that they will not intervene in the ongoing dispute between Bus Eireann management and it’s staff over pay conditions.
The Labour Court say they cannot actively get involved in the dispute given that the company has experienced financial difficulties.
The dispute which has seen staff at the company demand a 21% pay increase, could not have come at the worst time for management as the company is suffering record losses.
It is understood the company could face insolvency within 18 months unless they introduce major cost cutting measures.
