Another council has joined the rightful stand against water charges and Irish Water.

The motion put forward by Sinn Fein’s Caroline Dwane Stanley in Laois County Council was almost unanimously passed. There was only one voice of dissent, that of Labour TD Noel Tuohy. His proposal for  debate extension went unheeded, and the motion was passed without the need for a vote.

Laois has now joined the rebellion against the water injustice spearheaded by the County Councils in Wicklow and Donegal.
