A large crowd gathered today outside New Scotland Yard HQ before marching to Parliament in protest for the police’s response to the vigil for Sarah Everard.
Local authorities estimate that several hundred people were present at the march.
People are protesting against the heavy-handed approach taken by police during the vigil for 33-year-old Sarah Everard, who was kidnapped and killed in London in recent days.
There were shameful scenes of police officers shoving mourners at the vigil. The incident has sparked calls for the resignation of the head of the Metropolitan Police.
