The unemployment rate is relatively unchanged according to newly published figures by the Central Statistics Office.
In a new report issued this week the CSO said the country’s unemployment rate currently remains at 5.1% for the month of July.
The latest figures also revealed that a total of 200 people gained employment since June, whilst 120,000 still are unemployed across the country.
Although the figures have stabilised, the Central Bank remain optimistic that the unemployment rate will continue to fall over the coming months ahead and they are projecting that the country will have its lowest rate since in 2019.
The Central Bank say they expect figures to drop as low as 4.8% next year.
