There are currently over 550 people waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country the INMO have revealed.
In latest figures published the organisation, there is a total of 557 people waiting on a bed.
According to the figures University Hospital Limerick was the worst affected with 76 waiting on a bed.
Meanwhile there are 41 patients on trolleys at Cork University Hospital, whilst a further 34 waiting on a bed at University Hospital Galway.
The latest figures has once again led for calls for more to be done, as nursing staff have said little has changed when it comes to aliviating the situation.
