Ireland woke up absolutely covered in snow this morning, and the latest forecast says that the white stuff could linger for seven more days.
Snow keps falling across many areas of the country today, as temperatures remain close to freezing.
Tomorrow, Saturday, is expected to be a brighter, somewhat milder day, with daytime temperatures reaching 5C.
The outlook is for cold and frosty conditions to last well into next week.
