Leo Varadkar resumes canvassing after stomach bug temporarily forces him to pull out of election events

On Thursday, the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was forced to pull out of election events due to illness.

Varadkar was due to do a canvass with Dublin North-West candidate Noel Rock in Santry on Thursday but that event was cancelled, presumably much to the disappointment of Rock whose seat is no doubt under major threat given the amount of candidates in the constituency.

It’s believed that Varadkar had some sort of stomach bug after feeling unwell during Thursday morning.

Leo Varadkar did however go onto Newstalk with Ivan Yates on Thursday evening and spoke in detail about his past illegal drug use.
