There’s been major debate online over the past number of days after parents brought their children to sit around Drag Queens to listen to them read them stories.

Other parents in the area say that they’re very concerned with a man dressed as a woman and talking with children.

They help placards that read “Let children be children”.

There were protests over the weekend at the Tertulia Bookshop in Westport, Co Mayo as they attempted to have a “Drag Queen Story Hour”.

Drag Queen and gay bar owner Rory O’Neill, who commonly goes by the stage name “Panti Bliss” was set to take part in the event in his native county.

“Drag Queen Story Hour” an event first held in San Francisco in 2015, sees which men who dress as hyper-sexualized caricatures of women, “Drag Queens” read books to young and impressionable children in the hopes of warping minds to accept gender ideology.

The disturbing practice has become common across the English speaking world since its inception but has been met with concern and criticisms and condemned as grooming by many.

The Liberal reported on a recent horrifying incident in Dallas, Texas in which an undercover reporter exposed the fact that children were being subjected to sexually charged dance routines from men dressed as female strippers at a drag queen show in celebration of gay pride.

The bemused and seemingly frightened children were forced to stand in front of neon signs with slogans such as “It’s not going to lick itself” and hand money to the homosexual performers.

No doubt, reporting on this event in Texas sparked increased concerns among parents in Ireland at what many people believe these Drag events might entail and what else the powerful pro-LGBTTQQIAAP have planned to expose Irish children to.

O’Neill (Panti Bliss) enjoys fawning adoration from the major media outlets of Ireland and the 53-year-old drag performer took to twitter to highlight the coverage he received tweeting out a screenshot of a snippet from an article on the event reading:

“One protestor demanded to know if LGBT campaigner Rory O’Neill, AKA Panti Bliss, had “Garda clearance”.

“I’ve Garda clearance to tell you to go f**k yourself” O’Neill replied.

O’Neil captioned the post “Lol”.

Apparently, vulgarly dismissing the legitimate concerns of a parent was amusing to none of than Tánaiste Leo Varadkar who liked the tweet.
