Italy’s only victory over Ireland since 1997 may have come in 2013, but Joe Schmidt’s team are expected to the do business later today.
Since Schmidt has taken control of the IRFU army, Ireland have managed to rack up two wins over the Azzurri and outscored them by 72-10 cumulatively. This is GOOD news for our encounter later today.
Both victories were at home and away and both times the boys in green comprehensively beat the Italian stallions.
Unless Italy pull off an incredible upset, Ireland are set to take the win today and send us onto our forth match.
The match kicks off at 5pm on TV3.
