Lidl and Aldi announce that they WON’T be selling non essential items during Level 5 restrictions




Two of the country’s leading supermarkets have announced that they won’t be selling non essential items during Level 5 restrictions.

In an announcement Aldi confirmed that their weekly specialbuys items such as clothing, electricals and household items will be suspended for the duration of the restrictions.

However Aldi say one off specialbuys on essential items will continue on Thursday and Sundays, they added that apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Meanwhile Lidl have confirmed that they will suspend the sale of non essential items such as Christmas decorations and toys.

Lidl say they will suspend the sale of these items until December 1st in accordance with Government guidelines.

Although they will continue to sell essential items that relates to the upkeep of residence and businesses.

They added that they will continue to sell safety clothing, repair and maintenance items belonging to cars and bikes.
