Lidl and Aldi to introduce restrictions on products in an effort to halt panic buying




Two of the country’s biggest supermarkets are to introduce purchasing restrictions in an effort to halt panic buying.

In an announcement both Lidl and Aldi say they are introducing restrictions on toilet paper, tissues hand sanitisers, pasta, and tinned tomatoes amongst other products.

Aldi and Lidl say that they are introducing the measures which will apply to a number of products to stop people from panic buying.

It is believed that customers will be limited to four items per customer from tomorrow onwards.
