Lidl issue urgent recall for popular child’s product sold in Irish Lidl stores

The Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued an urgent recall notice for a popular children’s product sold in Irish Lidl stores due to the potential risk of injury, reports The Mirror.

A manufacturing defect has been detected in the Plative 3-in-1 Swing shown below which means that the swing seat may tilt forward or backward causing the child to fall and cause injury.

The item number of the platinum product is 388000_2104, while the model, lot number and barcode are unknown.

According to a statement released by the CCPC on Friday, there are 738 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

A spokesperson for Lidl Ireland said: “Due to a manufacturing defect, it cannot be ruled out that the seat of the swing will tilt forwards or backwards uncontrollably when using the above affected product. We ask customers to stop using the product and instead return to a Lidl store for a full refund with or without a receipt. Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused,” reports The Mirror.
