Many people agree that lockdown restrictions are needed until May 5th, but whether the public will be on the government’s side after that date remains to be seen.

Several European countries have tentatively lifted some of the Covid-19-related restrictions.

Spain, for example, has allowed certain non-essential workers to return to their place of employment. Small shops and DIY centres in Austria have now re-opened.

Meanwhile, the UK and Ireland remain in total lockdown due to the mounting number of Covid-19 casualties, and France has extended its lockdown measures until mid-May.
