Linda Martin has agreed to bury the hatchet with Twink in the wake of her dog-napping ordeal, according to reports.

The two pantomime stars had a falling-out five years ago while performing in Menopause: The Musical. But Martin has now graciously decided to bury their difference’s, after Adele King’s beloved dog Teddy Bear was taken from her Knocklyn home last Thursday, leaving her “beyond pain”.

Martin was quoted saying: “As soon as I heard the news that the dog was missing, I made some calls on it and contacted animal organisations north and south of the border and also in the UK,” Linda said. “One thing I do know about Adele is how much her dogs mean to her and then I read the interview she gave where she extended an olive branch to me and I’m accepting it because of the dog situation.”

Fellow animal-lover, Linda – who is thought to have 19 dogs – said that her heart went out to her former co-star. During an interview, Twink called on her former pal to “give her a dig out” and try to help her locate her beloved dog,  given that “Linda is a very powerful woman in the dog world”.

Martin told reporters: “I’m doing as much as I can,” “I hope genuinely that the dog just got lost or turns up soon, but I’m doing as much as I possibly can to help her. “I would feel very sorry for her because it would break my heart too if the same thing happened to me, because it’s always the unknown that you’re worried about. I genuinely felt sorry for her. “She didn’t need to ask me for help, but I’m glad she did.”

When asked if she had contacted Twink directly, she said she hadn’t but said that their falling out happened a “long time ago” and they used to be great friends.
“I haven’t seen for her a long time but that incident happened five years ago. It was unfortunate – I was in bits at the time – but it’s water under the bridge,” she said.

Anyone with information on her missing Yorkshire terrier is being asked to contact Tallaght garda station.
