Local authorities reportedly found two tonnes of cocaine floating off the Sicily coast.

Italian police located 70 packages drifting across the water, likely left behind by a cargo ship for someone to pick them up. The packages were fitted with a locator beacon.

The drugs would have had an estimated street value of around €400m.
