A spokesperson for the National Lottery has revealed that the winner of €66m on last Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot has got in contact with them.
It is understood that the lucky winner has still not collected their prize. However the location of where the winning ticket was sold has not been revealed either as the National Lottery say are forbidden to reveal the winning location until the winner claims their prize.
Although spokeswoman Paula McEvoy of the National Lottery told reporters they were thrilled to receive today’s call. Ms McEvoy said: “The holders of the winning ticket for that jackpot have been in touch with the National Lottery today and they received some preliminary advice around their win. “So they’ve gone off to consider that and we’re delighted they’ve been in touch.”
