Lufthansa and Easyjet have submitted bids to obtain a stake in Alitalia, as the airline struggles to stay afloat.
Alitalia became insolvent in 2017, and has since been opened for bidders to enter re-structuring agreements.
Alitalia’s sale to investors had been delayed due to elections in Italy, but has now resumed.
