The northbound M50 is closed between junctions 7 and 9 after a fatal road accident and Gardaí are urging motorists to avoid the area.
There was also a collision on the oncoming N7 near J1a Newlands Cross Flyover blocking the left and centre lanes.
Meanwhile, all northbound lanes of the M50 between Junctions 7 and 9 remain closed following the fatal crash which occurred shortly before 2pm today.
Gardaí advise all road users to avoid the M50 area whenever possible.
They are also advising all drivers on the N7 intending to travel north on the M50 to avoid the area or take alternative routes where possible.
