The family of the girl who was filmed performing sexual acts on 24 men in order to win a free drink can take some comfort in the fact that the bar where the event took place has been ordered to close for a year.
Magaluf’s Playhouse Club, and the aptly-named British company Carnage, have also been landed with a a €55,000 fine.
The video, which has thankfully been removed from online sites, shone a spotlight on the experiences of teenagers who may be on their first holiday abroad without their parents when a combination of peer pressure and exploitation by bar-owners can result in events that all concerned would rather forget.
