There’s major concern for the health of healthcare workers after more than 5,200 have contracted covid-19 over the outbreak.
A total of 5,204 healthcare workers in Ireland have coronavirus. Meanwhile 353 people remain in intensive care units across the country.
On Monday evening, the Department of Health have confirmed that a total of 26 people have died and 386 more cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland.
It means that there are currently 19,648 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland and a total 1,102 deaths.
