A major garda operation continues across Co. Wexford, following a shooting incident earlier on.
It is understood that at least two shots were fired at a patrol car attending a call in the Gorey area earlier on. Gardai were pursuing a vehicle, described as a Blue BMW 318 with the registration 06 W 1012. One of the occupants of this vehicle discharged a handgun. No one was injured in the incident.
The car was later found burnt out near Banntown in Co. Wexford.
