A major investigation is under way after a 23-yr-old woman died following a dog attack in Co Limerick this morning.
Gardai raced to a serious incident at a house near the village of Ballyneety, a rural area around 12km from Limerick city, at around 11.40pm Tuesday night.
The woman was found inside a gated entrance at the premises where she had be mauled by a dog.
She was treated at the scene but later sadly pronounced dead.
It’s understood the dog was an XL bully dog and that the woman lived with a man near where she was found with a number of dogs at the premises.
