Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation following two shootings in Dublin overnight.
It is understood one of the victims a man, was shot in the Ballymun area at approximately 2:30am, he was quickly taken to hospital with non-life threatening.
Meanwhile the second victim also a man believed to be aged in his late teens was shot at approximately 11:30pm in Shancastle Park in Clondalkin.
Gardaí say he was taken to Tallaght hospital where he remains in critical condition.
It is not yet known what is the motives behind the two shootings but Gardaí say a major investigation is ongoing.
