A female walker is missing since Sunday evening in the Comeragh Mountains in Co Waterford.
Gardaà say the search is for a 37-yr-old woman who is a mountain runner and an experienced hiker.
It’s understood that the woman comes from Co Tipperary and that she started to walk alone yesterday afternoon.
She had been in contact with her family by phone on several occasions, but no one has heard from her since Sunday afternoon.
Volunteers from the South East Mountain Rescue Association (SEMRA) and Coast Guard helicopter R117 at Waterford Airport are assisting in the search.
