A male pedestrian has been killed in an Irish county overnight.
The incident happened on the N83 at Cahervoley, near Tuam, Co. Galway, at around 0.30 am on Saturday night.
The deceased, a man in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Galway (UHG), where has pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the car, a male in his 30s, was not injured.
