Man (30s) appears in court charged with stabbing a defenceless 93-yr-old gentleman in his Co Louth home




Gardai in Co Louth made a breakthrough in the evil stabbing of a 93-yr-old man in Co Louth when they arrested and charged a man aged in his 30s.

The elderly gentleman was rushed to Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital following the attack in his home in Blackrock, Dundalk, Co. Louth.

It’s understood that the elderly gentleman is still in a very serious condition in hospital following the attack just before 3pm on Saturday.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who was in the area of Sandy Lane or the nearby Community Centre between 2pm and 3pm.

Meanwhile, a Dundalk man has appeared in court charged with the stabbing and was refused bail. He’ll again be in court on August 16th charged with the heinous crime.
