Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man aged in his 20s following an attempted car jacking in Finglas on Tuesday.
It is understood the man was arrested after he dragged a woman also aged in her 20s from the vehicle at approximately 5:45pm on Tuesday evening.
However before he could make a getaway a number of bystanders came to the woman’s aid which led to the man fleeing on foot.
He was later arrested at Charlestown Shopping Centre and was taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station.
