Gardaí in North Dublin have confirmed that a man has been arrested and has been questioned following the discovery of a sub machine gun and four hand guns in Coolock last month.
In an announcement made on Friday evening, Gardai investigating the incident say they have arrested a man aged in his 20s in connection with the discovery.
The man’s arrest comes after Gardai seized the weapons after they were discovered in an abandoned back pack on April 3rd.
Gardaí say the man is being held under the provisions of Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act, at Coolock Garda Station.
