Gardaí in Co Galway have begun an investigation after a man aged in his 20s was left in serious condition in hospital after he was struck by a minibus.
The investigation comes after the man a pedestrian was struck by the bus on the Inverin to Carroe Road at approximately 11.05pm on Sunday night.
Gardaí say the young man was quickly rushed to University College Hospital Galway and he currently remains in serious condition.
It is understood that the driver of the minibus was uninjured in the collision.
