Man aged in his 20s seriously injured following Dublin hit-and-run near Heuston Station




A hit-and-run accident in Dublin this morning has left a guy in his 20s with critical injuries, reports Independent.

A pedestrian was hit by a car on Sunday just after 4 a.m. on St. John’s Road West, close to Heuston Train Station. This incident prompted the alerting of Gardaí and emergency personnel.

The pedestrian, a guy in his 20s, was evacuated by ambulance to St. James’s Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for serious injuries, after the driver abandoned the scene, reports Independent.

There are presently traffic diversions in place as local scene of crime officials inspect the situation.

Kilmainham Gardaí are requesting that anybody with any pertinent information or who may have witnessed this event come forward and help with the inquiry.

“Those with camera footage (including dash cam) of the location at the time are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí,” a spokesperson said, reports Independent.
