Gardaí in Co Cork have confirmed that a man aged has sadly passed away following a road traffic incident.
It is understood the man aged in his 50s passed away following a collision between a car and a truck on the Midleton to Whitegate road.
Gardaí say the man’s body has since been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
