Gardaí in Co Longford have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 60s has died following a farming accident on Thursday.
It is understood the man sadly passed away after he was injured by an animal whilst working on a farm in Rathmore, Aughnacliffe.
Gardaí say emergency services were notified about the incident at 4:30pm and the man was rushed to hospital shortly afterwards.
They added that the Health and Safety Authority have been notified about the incident.
