Gardaí in Co Galway have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 70s has died following a road traffic incident on Friday evening.
It is understood the elderly man died following a collision between a car and a jeep on the N63 at Roonaunmore, near Claregalway.
Although the man was quickly taken Galway University Hospital, he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardaí say there were no other reported injuries and investigations are currently ongoing.
