Gardaí in Co Cork have confirmed that a man aged in his 70s has died following a road traffic incident in Fermoy.
It is understood the man was killed when the car he was travelling in collided with a pole on the Mill Road, shortly after 2pm this afternoon.
Gardaí say the man’s body was taken to Cork University Hospital following the incident.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
