Gardaí in Co Cork have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 70s has died in farming accident.
It is understood the man died after he suffered an accident whilst erecting fencing at a farm in Liscarroll, on Monday.
Gardaí say they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination in order to determine the man’s cause of death.
They added that the Health and Safety Authority have been notified and an investigation is currently ongoing.
