Gardaí in Co Wicklow have confirmed that a man and a child have been hospitalised after a large sign fell on top of them at a festival in Bray, on Sunday.
It is understood the incident at the Wings Food Festival at approximately 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
Gardaí say the sign fell due to high winds in the area close to the town’s promenade.
They added that the man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, whilst the child a young boy was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
